Membership is about building strength together. By joining NATSIHA, your organisation stands alongside other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Controlled housing Organisations from across the country to create a strong national voice for housing.
Why Become a Member
By becoming a member, you help strengthen our collective Voice.
Together we can advocate more strongly to governments, making sure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander housing organisations across Australia are given the priority and funding they need.
Who
Can Join
Be an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Controlled Housing or Homeless support Organisation
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander control is an act of self-determination. Under the National Agreement, an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Controlled Organisation is one that delivers services, including housing, accommodation, homelessness, or land and resource management, that build the strength and empowerment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and Communities.
An Eligible Organisation is:
- Controlled and operated by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
- Connected to the community or communities where it delivers services
- Governed by a board with majority of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander members
Membership of NATSIHA is open to ATSICCHOs that provide housing, accommodation, or homelessness services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
How to Become a Member
Membership is free, with the fee structure to be considered in consultation with members in the future.
